Had my check-up last sunday and was glad to know baby's doing alright with his head positioned downwards. But the doctor did meantion at 26 weeks, he could still do somersaults and the actual confirmed position will be at 30 weeks. Only then, could they really say if baby's breached or transverse or at the correct birthing position.
So.. Whats Breech? Whats Transverse? What IS the correct birthing position??
Breech - Is when the baby is vertical but head's up.
Transverse - When the baby's positioned sideways / horizontally
Normal - Head's down
The malay term for breech position is 'songsang'. And for babies in this position at 9 months, doctors will advice to have c-sect delivery instead of the normal vaginal.
I am happy to know that my little one has already positioned his head in the correct manner, but i wont be jumping for as yet, since its not a confirmed position. I am praying hard that he stays in this position :)
Through research on Google, there are many ways to overcome this breech problem; both traditionally and modern. Thinking of going in-depth on this topic in the next post. heheheeee....
