Salam pagi sabtu semua! One more day to election day!! Okay, that was off topic. Anyways, semua tau kan before this i mmg buat mnthly check-ups kat Hospital UMRA Shah Alam. Skang ni, im having it done kat Klinik Kesihatan Ibu & Anak Kelana Jaya. Knape?

Masa memula tu memanglah nk wat kat private. Biasalah, baby sulong.... Kalo boleh semua nk THE BEST, and skang oun actually masih nk yg sama, just boleh fikir rational skit. Lagi2 lepas dh tau perbezaan between klinik gomen ngan private yg i pegi tu.

Okay.. Cite die cenggini. I start gi klinik gomen ni actually juz nak bukak buku merah je. Tu pun Dr. Ummul frm UMRA suruh. Die kata 'just in case', so i pun pegilah buat.

My experience memula ngan klinik gomen teruk gak lah. Al maklum, first time and i dnt knw the procedures.

Bgn pagi2, drive gi bekfast dulu then gi KKIA (Klinik Kesihatan Ibu & Anak) kat TTDI. Dekat je ngan rumah, so mcm no hal lah. Smp2 sane nampak kosong je, nurse2 leh main2 ngan kids lah. Wah! Happy! Skali bila dia tgk address i kt Palmspring, hampa. In her words 'Puan, kalau Puan dok kat Palmspring, puan kene pegi KJ. Kat sini tk cover coz lain daerah.' Wth? Sebelah je kott. Brape minutes je pun.

Pastu diorg sowh call dulu, takut buku merah leh bukak hari2 tertentu je. Panassssss! Dh lah nk ke sana jam! Errgh! Kitorg tk call pun, terus redah je. Smp sana terkejut beruk. RAMAI NYER MANUSIA!

Tanye counter, tulis nama and tunggu turn. Diorg kata come back after lunch psl dh penuh. Sigh.... Okay fast forward. Kronologi as below:

1. Tunggu nama panggil, amik berat badan, history n blood pressure
2. Tunggu nama panggil, Pee in a cup
3. Tunggu number lagi, blood test
4. Tunggu number lagi, jmp nurse, check perut
- measurements
- listening to baby's heartbeat
- chit chat on babys progress etc.
- date for next appointment
5. BALIK
*note: tk sempat nk jmp doctor coz it was already too late

Rase mcm leceh gler! And i missed the next appt, pastu cam malas lah nak buat lagi kat situ, continue jelah wat kat UMRA.

Then diorg call. Kata kene dtg gak. I dah default 2 mnths! Hahhahaa. Okaylah... Bg can. Jmp doctor this once je, then tak payah dh.

Bila dh used to the waiting, rasa mcm tkdelah lama sgt pun. Sama je mcm kat UMRA. Brape kali dah gi UMRA and kene tunggu lama gile. The last we were there, we had to wait for 2 hours (maybe coz it was on a Sunday). And bila jmp pun the dr checked me up for less than 5 minutes. Rasa cam tak puas. And she was a little rushed. Tak ingat nama dia, but shes the only dr there wearing tudung.

Kalau mcm ni, might as well i pg gomen kan? INFO! Dont stereotype the nurses kat klinik gomen. They surprised me wth their friendliness and willingness to explain! Adalah satu dua yg tk best, tp overall they were always nice!

 

So now, i dh masuk kali ke ntah brape gi sane. Especially since they've changed my appts to once every two weeks instead of monthly. Coz dah masuk 3rd trimester.

Tapi kan.. Adalah jugak cons ke sana. I will let u in on that shortly.

1. If boleh, tlg lah avoid getting GD or any other complications, coz if not ull have to go there more regularly. (im facing that now)

2. Tempat tk comfortable sgt

3. Diorg tk bg mc, just time slip je

4. Takde u/s scan (dis one leh buat kt memane clinic luar yg ada the machine)

And the pros

1. Cheap! Its FREE

2. Dapat the same ubat as private (obimin). Super minimal cost of tak smp RM5

3. Kalaulah ada apa2 emergency, its known that private hospitals wont take on ur case, and if u dh ada buku merah, it eases the process tremendously!

 

Bila fikir2kan balik, i am considering to deliver kat Hospital Sg. Buloh je instead of the original plan at UMRA. PPUM was the initial option, tp since kat situ husband tkleh masuk time delivery, its off the list. No no no noooo way i'm doing this on my own!

 

Bukan nk suruh u'olls tukar to gomen, if u have the means to, why not private.. After all u get better comfortable rooms, better food, etc. Ni juz my opinion and juz nk bgtau yg ada gak option lain.. Furthermore, i get to save up more for when the little one arrives! Sure nk pakai lagi byk duit.

For the u/s scan, my friend introduced me to this clinic - Klinik Sofea in Puchong Utama which does 3D + 4D + consultation for only RM80! Murah kan...... :-)
